A very rare and endangered species that we sadly know very little about, the Cowtapus is a mix between platypus and cow with a bit of hippo thrown in for good measure. As far as we know they love to wear red lipstick going to nightclubs on Thursday nights. Their horns are merely decorative and are very peaceful loving creatures. This is the only photograph anyone has ever been able to take of these elusive beasts.

We used to make these when I was little. This one is a very simple mock-up I had done recently from memory. In the past we would dress them up and paint on them with fabric paints. My brother would make them for all his friends at school, his most popular was the Pirate.

Sock Bunny was created for a small craft I did with some school children. He requires no sewing and is kept together with elastics, twist ties and school glue.

No budget for a real spring this year :( Oh well, I’ll just have to make my own, won’t I?

An awesome little motorbike I created following the tutorial here: http://bit.ly/hwXSxH

It’s surprisingly simple, though I managed to loose one of the tiny wheels and both pieces of flint so it doesn’t spark as you move it along :O( I plan on making a second more elaborate version some time soon :O)

More paper sculptors. Added a funky cheerful background. I try to go for bright colourful frames to make up for the grey dull colour of the paste.

A fun little craft. Sculpted a small dragonfly out of homemade clay of soaked shredded newspaper, that was later framed on a simple bright paper.

I was asked by the Evergreen Cultural Centre to create a small craft for a local Farmer’s Market last August. Going with an organic theme I decided to make Corn Leaf Dolls. This is the sample doll I brought for display.
Made twist ties and a lot of school glue. Her hair is old corn silk. Arms and legs from corn husks.

RePurposing

I’ll be using this blog for my crafting adventures, trying to stay green, you know reusing and all that. So, as with everything else, I’ll be very inconsistent and sporadically so I am not making any promises.

If you are interested in seeing anymore artwork from me please find me at any of these links:
